Through the Interfaith Education Center for Community Dental Care (housed within its existing clinics), Interfaith Dental Clinic will dramatically increase its impact on reducing oral disease. Trainees will develop their skills while providing quality care to those in our community who are least able to afford it. With extra focus on cultural competency and whole-person, patient-centered care, dental professionals trained at Interfaith will be able to excel in meeting the oral health challenges of our times.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Interfaith Education Center for Community Dental Care (IECCDC) is through hands-on training, to give dental professionals the opportunity to develop their skills while providing quality care to those in our community who are least able to afford it.

What Makes our School Unique to Education and the Community

At the Interfaith Education Center for Community Dental Care (IECCDC), we leverage two decades of oral health expertise and care delivery provided by the Interfaith Dental Clinic team. Interfaith has an impeccable reputation and track record in being a leader in providing quality, comprehensive, and holistic charitable dental care.

Given the nature of our clinics, trainees will experience a tremendous variety of patients, treatment needs, and procedures. As such, students will have vast opportunity to gain experience in care of a myriad of conditions and treatment modalities. Additionally, because nearly 200 dental professionals volunteer annually in our clinics, students/trainees will have an invaluable opportunity to work alongside (and network) with those local dental practitioners. This is an incredible advantage as students complete their training at IECCDC and enter the job market. Finally, our compassionate, loving care approach to patient care provides an additional layer of training to be holistic in serving patients. Interfaith serves a very diverse patient population. Thus trainees will cover material and work through exercises focused on cultural competency/sensitivity to increase their knowledge and skill set in this important aspect of care delivery.

In summary, Interfaith has numerous distinguishing strengths which make IECCDC an attractive option for education and training:
     • Quality of instruction and reputational excellence
     • Network of volunteer providers
     • Variety of patients and procedures
     • Convenience, competitive pricing, and length of programming

We invite you to see how our educational programming is unique, in a positive way. “A Smile Changes Everything” – from our patients, to our staff, to our trainees, this encompasses all that we do as an organization. For our students/trainees – changing lives by increasing their skills as a dental professional leads to increased employment options.
